The new international journal for the homeopathic art of healing aims to present the range of classical and modern approaches in homeopathy, which only unfold the full potential of this healing art in their entirety. Working with the whole spectrum of different methods and systems opens up new possibilities to grasp the peculiarities and characteristics of an individual and to view them from different angles

SPECTRUM 2.0

The journal follows in the tradition of the magazine "Spectrum of Homeopathy", which has been discontinued at the end of 2024. Following the journal's relaunch in 2025, the editors-in-chief Christa Gebhardt and Jürgen Hansel as well as the international team of authors guarantee continuity in form and content. The core of this team is formed by the advisory board with Natalya Dinat, Jonathan Hardy, Ganshyam Kalathia, Massimo Mangialavori, Resie Moonen, Rajan Sankaran, Anne Schadde, Jan Scholten, Susan Sonz and Franz Swoboda.

HAHNEMANN'S BASIS

The common starting point for the modern approaches that some of the authors pursue in their practice and present in their articles is classical homeopathy, which has been a work in progress since Samuel Hahnemann. In case analysis, repertorisation and a sound knowledge of remedies play an important role alongside new methods such as group analysis.

SPECTRUM OF REMEDIES

The systematic classification of the materia medica according to kingdoms, orders and families or rows and columns, has opened up new paths to the Simile and considerably expanded the homeopathic remedy treasure. Special editions of Homeopathic Spectrum on individual groups of remedies like the first edition on Solanaceae are intended to introduce the characteristics of the group as well as of small, little-known remedies, also on the basis of new provings.

CLINICAL EXPERIENCE

Besides provings, cured cases are the most important source of homeopathic knowledge. The articles on individual drug groups and remedies or on specific clinical pictures in this journal focus on instructive case studies that make the different approaches of authors from all over the world transparent and comprehensible.

SPECTRUM OF METHODS

One might regret the development of different systems and methods as a kind of fragmentation, but one might also see it as an enrichment that has led to a well-stocked toolbox for practice, ranging from polarity analysis to the 5-finger method. This journal aims to encourage readers to learn about new tools so that the most appropriate method(s) can be applied for each individual patient before choosing a remedy.

ISSUES 2025

The first issue, entitled ‘Nightshade’, published in May 2025, clearly illustrates how the spectrum of remedies and methods is presented. The authors show ways to find similars from the Solanales order with the help of the various homeopathic plant systems of Rajan Sankaran, Jan Scholten, Michal Yakir and Massimo Mangialavori. In addition to well-known remedies such as Hyoscyamus and Mandragora, lesser-known Solanaceae such as Nierembergia, Physalis and Solanum malacoxylon are also presented. The reading sample deals with an exciting case of Solanum tuberosum by Susan Sonz. The second issue of Spectrum in November 2025 will focus on the currently relevant clinical topic of ‘Chronic Fatigue’.
